What this app collects, why it needs it, who else ever sees it, and how to have it deleted.

Last updated 21 August 2026 · v1.0

The short version. Your coach uses this app to coach you. It holds the things a coach needs — your training, your measurements, what you eat, and whatever you tell them. It is not sold, it is not advertised against, and nobody but your own coach and the people who run this app can see it. You can have all of it erased from inside the app, at any time, without asking anybody.

Who is responsible for what

There are two parties, and it matters which is which.

FitNation Coach is built and operated by Joby Paul, trading as FitNation Sports Hub, Onakkoor, Kerala, India. Contact details are at the bottom of this page.

What is collected

Not all of this applies to everybody. A client whose coach never takes a photograph has no photographs here. What follows is everything the app is capable of holding.

WhatWhy
Name, mobile number, email Your mobile number is how you sign in — a code is sent to it by SMS. Email is optional and only used to send you your own reports.
Date of birth, gender, height Calorie targets, heart-rate zones and what is safe to load you with are all worked out from these.
Your training — programmes, every set, rep, weight, distance, time and heart rate you record It is the record your next programme is written from.
Measurements — weight, body fat, muscle mass, chest, waist, hip, arm and thigh To see whether what you are doing is working.
Progress photographs, where your coach takes them The same reason. These are stored privately and are never public.
Health information — injuries, medical notes, and blood-work results where your coach records them So a programme does not ask you to do something that will hurt you. This is sensitive and is treated as such.
Food — your diet plan and what you log against it Nutrition coaching does not work without it.
Messages and check-ins between you and your coach It is the conversation. It stays between the two of you.
Payments — what you were charged, what you paid, and the reference or screenshot you sent Your coach has to be able to say what they were paid, and when.
Sign-in records — which devices you are signed in on, and when each was last used So you can see it and throw off a device you no longer have.

What is not collected

Who else ever sees it

Four companies, each doing one job, each named.

WhoWhat reaches themWhy
DigitalOcean
servers, Bangalore region
Everything, because it is where the app runs. The app has to run somewhere. Data is held on servers in India.
Fast2SMS
SMS, India
Your mobile number and a six-digit code. To send the code that signs you in. Nothing else is sent.
OpenAI or Google
only when your coach uses the AI programme writer
Your goal, gender, year of birth, activity level, any medical notes your coach has written, your joining questionnaire answers, and your recent training. Never your name, mobile number, email or photographs. To draft a training block your coach then edits and approves. See the note below.
Your coach's own payment provider, where they use one Your name and the amount. To take the payment. Their policy applies to that part.

About the AI programme writer

If your coach uses it, a description of you goes to OpenAI or Google to draft the session. It carries no name, no mobile number, no email and no photograph — it says things like "Goal: half marathon in March · Born: 1991 · Medical notes: left knee, avoid deep lunges".

If you would rather nothing about you went to either company, tell your coach and they can write your programmes by hand. Everything else in the app works exactly the same.

Your coach can see your data. Nobody else's coach can.

This app is used by more than one coaching business. Every screen and every request is checked against the coach who owns the record, and a coach cannot reach a client who is not theirs. If your coach shares a programme with another coach, a copy of the programme travels — never you.

Joby Paul, as the operator, can reach the underlying database for support and for keeping the service running. That access is used to fix things, not to read them.

How long it is kept

Deleting everything

In the client app: Home → Account → Delete my account. You will be asked for your password and to type the word DELETE, because it cannot be undone.

It removes your photographs, check-ins, messages, measurements, blood work, food logs, habits, goals and every workout you logged, and you will not be able to sign in again. You do not need your coach's permission and they are not asked to approve it. As above, the money records remain with your name removed.

You can also ask your coach to do it for you, or write to the address below.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask for a copy of what is held about you, ask for anything wrong to be corrected, ask for it to be erased, and withdraw your consent. Ask your coach first — they are the fiduciary and the app gives them every one of these buttons. If they cannot help, write to us and we will.

If you are in the UK or the EU, the equivalent rights under UK GDPR and GDPR apply and the same routes serve them.

Security

No system is perfect. If something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India, as the Act requires.

Children

This app is for adults. A client under 18 may only be added by their coach with a parent or guardian's consent, and that consent is the coach's responsibility to obtain and to hold.

Connected devices and other services

Where the app offers to connect a fitness watch or another service, that connection is yours to make and yours to break. You sign in to that service yourself, you choose what it may share, and you can disconnect it at any time from within the app or from that service's own settings. We receive only the training data you have agreed to share, we use it only to show your coach what you did, and we do not pass it on to anybody else or use it to train any AI model.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the app will say so the next time you open it rather than quietly replacing the page. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
